Augmentative
Communication
Speech-language
pathologists can assess students’ readiness to learn methods of
augmentative and alternative communication.
 Classroom
Technology
Occupational
therapists can evaluate students’ ability to access technology
and identify appropriate hardware and software that will enhance
students’ educational progress.
Seating
and Mobility
Physical
and occupational therapists, certified as assistive technology
practitioners (ATP), can provide comprehensive evaluations and
specialized positioning and mobility equipment to meet students’
needs and goals.
Student
Evaluations
Psychological
and educational evaluations for children with special needs can
be conducted. Physical, occupational, and speech/language therapy
evaluations are also available.

Occupational,

district during the regular school year or extended school year.
