The Matheny School provides a full education program for residential and day students, ages 3-21, with medically complex developmental disabilities. A teacher certified in special education by the New Jersey Department of Education, as well as a teaching assistant, staff each classroom, which has a maximum of nine students.

Matheny’s Adult Services program provides education services for both adult residents and adult day health services patients. The curriculum is designed to instill a sense of self-respect and self-expression for persons, aged 21 and older, with severe physical disabilities and medical conditions.
