Kathy D'Urso Named Nurse Manager of Adult Services

Kathy D’Urso, RN, has been promoted to nurse manager of the adult services unit at Matheny, succeeding Diane Karl. D’Urso began working at Matheny as a full-time night nurse in 1994. She left in 1996 to raise a family and returned in 2006 as a per diem nurse. She quickly advanced to a full-time primary nurse before being appointed to her present position. Prior to joining Matheny, D’Urso worked as a nurse at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, the NeuroMed Brain Injury Program in Somerset, Patient Care, Inc. in Westfield and Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside. She received her LPN degree from Somerset County Technical Institute in Bridgewater and her RN from Raritan Valley Community College in North Branch where she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa international honor society.
