Grant From Reeve Foundation





The Board of Directors of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation has awarded a 1st Cycle 2009 Quality of Life grant of $13,650 to Matheny in the Bridging the Barriers category.  The grant will help underwrite the purchase of an X3 Display Medical Seat & Back Pressure Mapping System.  Funding was made possible through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  According to Joseph Canose, vice president, quality of life, for the Foundation, the award was made, "on the enthusiastic recommendation of the Reeve Foundation Board’s Quality of Life Committee.  The competition for funds was extremely fierce."    The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis, through grants, information and advocacy.  Its grants are awarded to programs or projects that improve the daily lives of people with paralysis.
