Matheny Prom 2009

More than 100 Matheny students and patients danced to the music of Holiday Express, accompanied by their teachers, therapists, PCAs, parents and siblings at the Matheny Prom, held May 21 at the Skylands in Randolph, NJ.  It was difficult to tell who was having a better time – the students and patients or their families.  Jeanne May of Bridgewater, mother of 17-year-old day student, Mason Walsh, said, "Last year, it was just Mason and me, but this year, we brought the entire family because it’s such a great event."  Lisa Miller of Bedminster was there with her son, adult patient, David Miller.  "I had a great time," she said, "but David wouldn’t dance with me.  He wanted to dance with all the pretty girls."  The prom was funded by a grant from Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
